FAQ’s

1. What is your design philosophy? How do you describe your designs?

My designs are fluid, clean and polished. I think it’s integral for a gown to highlight and to balance key design elements. The reason why a specific design detail is executed in a particular way is both artistically and carefully calculated, it is never random.

Balance, drape and construction details have always been instinctive elements of my designs. I’m very much into fresh clean cuts, I like creating gowns that are elegant, always with impact but never too overwhelming or distracting. The end result is ultra feminine, romantic and beauty that looks natural.

Fit is always a top priority, which is why I do mock dress fitting for my brides (a mock dress is thrown away and not reused for lining). No matter how embellished a gown is, if it doesn’t fit well, it won’t look good.

2. For the starting rate PHP 50,000 for Bridal Gown, what fabrics can be used?

Fabrics can either be in tulle, chiffon, mesh, neoprene, organza, duchess satin, bridal satin, touches of lace or a combination of these fabrics. The fabrics used will adjust accordingly to the design taking into consideration textile properties such as color, weight, elasticity and drape. Bead work with touches of Swarovski and select types of lace can be included. Naturally the use of lace, intricacy of beadwork, embellishments and sophisticated construction details may entail additional costs. There really is no fixed fabric, it will really depend on the design.

3. Is it limited to a specific cut or silhouette?

There is no specific cut or silhouette for any particular price point. Every bride is different and each woman’s body is also different, it is only natural for me to create a design that will best fit your body type and personality. I don’t use templates so each bride has a new design made specifically for her. To learn more about silhouettes and other bridal gown terms, view this link https://camillegarciabridal.wordpress.com/category/decode-the-wedding-dress/

4. What accessories are included with the bridal gown?

Inclusive of veil, secondary veil, garter, arrhae, pillows, cord, bag, bejeweled hair pins and a fitting form for the bridal preps.

5. What is a good lead time to start with the gown?

6 months to 1 year is ample time. Rush orders are accepted on a case to case basis. For December and January Brides, it’s better to book as early as possible due to peak season.

6. Where is your Boutique located?

It is inside The Glass Garden Events Venue located at 257 Evangelista Ave. Brgy. Santolan, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. You can view the directional map in this link https://camillegarciabridal.wordpress.com/location/

7. What if I’m a bride living outside Manila?

No need to worry, I am constantly creating gowns for brides who are living abroad. Yes it’s definitely possible even if I will only see you a few weeks before the wedding. Please refer to this link to learn about the process https://camillegarciabridal.wordpress.com/living-abroad/

8. Do I need to set an appointment?

Yes, to make sure I can accommodate you properly. Naturally the bride with a scheduled fitting or appointment is prioritized. An appointment must be made at least 2 weeks before the desired date. For Saturdays, scheduling 2-3 weeks ahead is advisable.

If you are interested in my Prêt-à-Porter (Ready to Wear) Bridal Gowns, there’s no need to set an appointment, you can just walk-in. Boutique hours are from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mondays to Saturdays.

9. What goes on during a typical appointment?

I look at the bride’s body and assess what would best flatter her assets. I also ask if there are particular areas of her body that she wants to highlight or to conceal. I am open to the bride’s personal insights and ideas. Even just adjectives are enough to give me direction and a better idea of the bride’s personality. I also ask where there ceremony and reception would be since this will also affect what look would be appropriate for the setting. If the bride has inspirational photos, she can show these as well so I can get a better idea of her sense of style.

If the bride comes in empty handed and relies solely on my ideas, the results usually come out even better since I’m free to let my creative juices flow. I sketch on the spot to create a design that I believe is truly meant for the bride. Fabric and lace options are also presented so the bride can better visualize the drape and visual effects of varying material.

10. Can you duplicate a gown for me?

I do not create gowns other than designs that I personally sketched. I also cannot replicate a gown I have made for another bride. I believe each bridal gown should just be as unique as the woman who wears it.

11. How many people can I bring with me during an appointment?

As much as possible come alone, if you need support having 1-2 persons with you will suffice. Please avoid bringing your entire clan, others may impose contrasting ideas that may only confuse you. I cannot emphasize how important it is for you to be happy and comfortable in expressing your ideas freely so that your gown reflects your individual personality and style, not someone else’s. Bringing children is discouraged to avoid any tampering or damage of displayed wedding dresses. This is the one element of wedding planning that’s all about you and you deserve full attention during the unveiling of your wedding gown.

12. What if I’m an expectant mother?

I’ve had a lot of experience with expectant moms so I’m confident with the results and I’m always up for the challenge. There are techniques and ways to hide or to create an illusion of a smaller belly. I’ve had a couple of featured brides here though it’s not apparent that they’re expecting.

13. Do you make debutante gowns, prom dresses, pre-nup gowns, cocktail and evening dresses?

Definitely! Bookings ahead of time are appreciated especially when approaching December and January.

14. Do you provide gown rental services?

No.

15. I’m interested to avail the Comprehensive Package with Glass Garden or Hanging Gardens, how does that work?

The Comprehensive Package includes the Bridal Gown and the same accessories are included: veil, secondary veil, garter, arrhae, pillows, cord, bag, bejeweled hair pins and a fitting form for the bridal preps. Templates are not used and I personally sketch each wedding gown for each new bride so the process is no different. The only difference is the rate of the gown is discounted as with other suppliers part of the Comprehensive Package.

  1. Hi Camille!
I love your creations, they’re really wonderful!
Would you accept rental for a bridal gown?
I’d like to look bongga and in a way display your creation into my wedding at Oceana but I really don’t spend much on something that I will have to wear once. Please let me know if that’s possible? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
    Kind regards,
    Cheryl

  2. Hi Camille,

Amazing job on those gowns. I’m a bride-to-be abroad and was wondering how I could have you design my bridal gown. Would there be any charges if you were to sketch a bridal gown for me? Do let me know through my e-mail.

    Thanks and cheers!

  3. Hi, Just want to ask for a quote for a bohemian/vintage style dress. Those flowy dress that can be used outdoors like beach, park?

    1. Hi Gaile,

Thank you for getting in touch with me!=) My starting rate for bridal gowns is 40,000 inclusive of veil, secondary veil, garter, arrhae, 2 pillows, cord, pouch bag, bejeweled hair pins and free use of mannequin. For a bohemian gown, it can range from 40,000 – 80,000 or higher depends on the beadwork and type of lace used. It’s hard to give a specific quote since I haven’t seen you yet and there are so many possibilities in terms of design and construction.
